Instead of using bread crumbs, open up your cupboard and grab some cornflake cereal. It is a quick and easy way to add some great crispiness and flavor to your chicken. Check out the recipe below and the video showing how it turns out!

Crumble The Corn Flakes
While it is not completely necessary, I found that when using the cornflakes as a breading for these chicken strips, it worked best to crunch the cornflakes up to a smaller size before using them as a breading agent.
As shown in the video above, it turned out well both ways, however, it seemed to get better coverage over the chicken when the flakes were a little bit finer.
This is just my experience and you may find that the full-size flakes work best for you. I recommend giving it a try both ways and figuring out which way you like best.
Hot Sauce
If you do not like spicy foods, you do not need to add hot sauce to this recipe. I however love spiciness on just about everything! Louisianna sauce is a great compliment to this chicken breading batter and an excellent condiment to add to it while on your plate.
It just adds some zing, flavor, and a bit of heat. Simply put, it takes it to the next level.
