We have all heard of and probably had a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich before, and they are great. But, why not try something new? Simply create your cheese steak filling and place it in between 2 slices of artisan bread. It is such a fulfilling dish you and your family will most definitely love!

Artisan Cheese Steak Sandwich

If you like steak sandwiches, you have to try this amazing Artisan cheesesteak sandwich. It is cheesy and tastes amazing.

Total Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds of Thin Sliced Steak
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper (or 8 small peppers)
  • SPG All Purpose Seasoning
  • Artisan Rolls
  • Provolone Cheese
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Begin preheating your griddle on medium.
  2. Slice your steak across the grains so they are only 1/4 inch thick or smaller. You can use sirloin, new york strips, ribeye or any other steak of your choice.
  3. Slice up your onions and vegetables to a thin form.
  4. Add olive oil to the griddle.
  5. Add vegetables and saute until they are tender. Then set them aside.
  6. Add steak to the griddle and additional olive oil if needed and cook until almost done.
  7. Add the onions and peppers to the steak and cook until well blended and the steak is done. Set aside.
  8. Put 1 serving of the steak mixture back on the hot side of the griddle.
  9. Add a slice of provolone cheese until melted.
  10. Add the artisan bread to the griddle and brown.
  11. Place the serving on the bread.
  12. Add ranch or your favorite dressing if desired and enjoy!
