If there’s one sandwich that never gets old, it’s the BLT — bacon, lettuce, and tomato, all stacked on toasted bread with a smear of mayo. Simple, satisfying, and absolutely packed with flavor. And today, I threw one down live on the VEVOR griddle, right here in the kitchen.
Yeah, I know — watching bacon cook for 15 minutes might not be everyone’s idea of a party. But for me? That sizzle is music. And spoiler alert: the sandwich turned out amazing.
???? The Classic BLT on the Griddle
Here’s how I built mine:
Ingredients:
- Thick-cut bacon
- White sandwich bread (Wonder Bread, if you’re curious)
- Romaine lettuce
- Sliced tomato
- Mayonnaise (optional, but highly recommended)
Griddle Cook Steps:
- Fire up the VEVOR and lay down your bacon. Let it sizzle until it’s nice and crispy, flipping as needed.
- While the bacon cooks, toast your bread on the griddle to get that perfect golden crust.
- Once everything’s ready, assemble: toast, mayo, bacon, tomato, lettuce — and enjoy.
It was so good, I had to take a moment of silence after the first bite.
???? Dolores’ Keto-Friendly BLCT
Dolores wasn’t about to miss out — she made her low-carb version, and honestly, it held its own against the classic.
Her ingredients:
- Sola low-carb bread (just 1 net carb per slice)
- Cheese (because why not?)
- Romaine lettuce
- Tomato (in moderation)
- Bacon (of course)
- Chick-fil-A mayo packets (yes, the good stuff)
Keto twist tips:
- She toasted the low-carb bread right on the griddle.
- Added a slice of cheese for extra fat and flavor.
- Went light on the tomato to keep carbs low.
- Finished it off with romaine and that creamy mayo.

This sandwich moment was part of our Thursday night live cooking session. I’ll be doing more of these — relaxed, real-time cooks where we hang out, chat, and let the bacon do its thing.

Final Thoughts
Whether you’re doing it classic or going low-carb, a BLT off the griddle just hits different. The VEVOR handled the heat like a champ, and both versions turned out fantastic.
So next time you’re wondering what to throw on the flat top — keep it simple. Keep it bacon. And come hang out with us live while we cook it!
